Motion Detector – Professional Line

Art.no.: 059613 (white), 059606 (black), 059583 (anthracite)

Description

The STEINEL sensIQ S is a professional KNX motion detector for indoor and outdoor use, ideal for entrances, loading bays and facades. The 4-fold PIR sensor system monitors in 3 × 100° segments (total 300°) with a tangential range of up to 20 m and precise range adjustment per direction (2–20 m). The detector is designed for wall and corner mounting up to 5 m in height, is KNX-compatible and comes with a remote control and corner wall bracket. Available in white, black and anthracite (RAL 7016).

Applications

  • Building entrances, access areas and loading bays
  • Around the house, garden & driveway
  • Warehouses, car parks and covered areas

Main Features

  • Detection: 4-fold PIR system, 3 × 100° segments, total detection angle 300°, anti-creep protection
  • Range: tangential r = 20 m (≈ 1,047 m²), radial r = 4 m (≈ 42 m²); adjustable per segment mechanically
  • Mounting height: ideal 2–5 m (max. 5 m); optimal detection at approx. 2 m
  • KNX functions: 2× light output, presence output, brightness value, constant light control, basic light function, twilight switch, sensor settings, separate pyro measurement, logic functions
  • Settings: via ETS software, bus, Smart Remote and supplied remote control
  • Twilight setting: 2–1000 lx with teach function
  • Time setting: 60 s – 15 min
  • Basic/primary light: basic light function and primary light adjustable 0–100%
  • Teach mode and energy-saving design
  • Networking: master/master and master/slave via KNX bus

Important Notes

  • KNX configuration via ETS is required to activate and parameterise functions (e.g. constant light control, logic and objects).
  • The specified ranges apply to tangential moving objects; actual performance depends on mounting height, orientation and environmental conditions.
  • Mount preferably at 2–5 m height, free from heat sources, reflections and distracting background movements.
  • Protection class IP54: suitable for outdoor use, but not for immersion or high-pressure cleaning.
  • KNX Secure is not supported; apply appropriate network security measures according to your KNX design and policy.
