Description
The HF 180 KNX is a high-frequency (5.8 GHz) wall-mounted presence detector for indoor use. Thanks to HF technology it detects quickly and independent of temperature, even through glass, wood and lightweight partitions. With a 180° detection angle and a range of up to r = 8 m (≈ 101 m²), it is the ideal solution for small offices, waiting rooms, corridors, staircases and sanitary areas. The KNX version also measures brightness, temperature and humidity and supports constant light control.

Important notes
- Indoor use only (IP20). Not suitable for damp or outdoor areas.
- HF detection also works through thin walls; be aware of possible detection of movement in adjacent rooms. Place the device to minimize unwanted detection.
- The device communicates via KNX telegrams; switching/dimming functions require suitable KNX actuators. No mains or relay outputs on the device itself.
- Bus current (≈ 12.5 mA) must be considered in KNX power supply planning.
- Optimal mounting height 1.2 m for reliable presence detection and creep protection.
- Not to be used as a safety component (e.g. personal safety or burglary detection).
